Children’s workshops and events

Busy hands, calm minds, no screens

Three children sitting at a wooden table outdoors, working on mosaic art projects with various small colored tiles, amidst lush green foliage.

This is a different kind of art class.

The materials available are upcycled or donated and your child is invited to be creative. They will transform broken crockery, stone, glass and other materials into a mosaic or mixed media you can treasure for your home or garden. We also offer other craft activities using remnant plastic, paper and polystyrene.

These creative sessions are held in a studio garden in Macleod, north-east Melbourne, or at a venue that suits you.

Even very young children can assemble and glue pieces to make something colourful and joyful.

Using reclaimed items is a cost-effective, sustainable and creative way to make pieces. The experience invites storytelling to discover how the materials came to be prized or used in art and craft making.
